Coordinates: 32 ° 20 ′ S , 117 ° 52 ′ E The Shire of Corrigin is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 3095 km² and has about 1100 inhabitants (2016).
Corrigin is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the east of the state about 200 kilometers east of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Corrigin, where about 750 residents live (2016).

The Corrigin Council has nine members. They are elected by all residents of the Shire. Corrigin is not divided into districts. The chairman of the council (Shire President) is also recruited from among the councilors.
