Cosa Nostra was a Swedish punk band from Mariestad . It was founded in 1992 by former Asta Kask members Bonni "Bonta" Pontén (guitar and vocals) and Magnus "Bjurre" Bjurén (drums). The founding members also included Bjurre's brother Nicke Bjurén (bass and vocals) and Micke Dahl (guitar). Dahl got out shortly afterwards, Svein Lister came for him. In 1996 Peter Andersson from Total Misär replaced Svein Lister and in 1998 Jens from Carpe Diem replaced Nicke Bjurén. In 2000 the band broke up. Bonni is back at Asta Kask today.
Cosa Nostra play fast and melodic punk rock, often with polyphonic singing in the style of Asta Kask and Radioaktiva Räker .
