Cosima Dannoritzer

Cosima Dannoritzer (* 1965 in Dortmund ) is a German film writer and film producer . She became internationally known for her multi-award-winning documentary Buy for the Garbage Dump .

Career

Cosima Dannoritzer was born in Dortmund in 1965. She studied English literature as well as film and theater studies at Strathclyde University in Glasgow , Scotland and received the Higher National Diploma, Film & TV Production from Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design.

Dannoritzer works as a freelance film writer and producer for Deutsche Welle TV, among others . After a few short films, she shot a documentary series about Germany for the BBC in 2001 . Since 2011, her documentary "Buy for the Garbage Dump" has been broadcast several times on Arte and Phoenix . She has received numerous international awards for her reports and documentaries.
