Country Joe is Country Joe McDonald's seventh solo album from 1974. The album received four and a half stars out of five on Allmusic .
The album
For the album, songs that McDonald had written for the 1970 film Que Hacer were reinterpreted. Memories is a contemplative song about his life as a teenager in the sixties. A special sonic feature of the album is that horns are used in almost all pieces. It is the final McDonald's album to be produced by Vanguard Records. Maynard Solomon, President of Vanguard Records, personally took care of the production.
