The Court Tomb of Antynanum is south of Munie Road, near Glenarm in County Antrim in Northern Ireland . Court Tombs are among the megalithic chamber tombs ( English chambered tombs ) of the British Isles . With around 400 specimens, they are found almost exclusively in Ulster in the north of Ireland or in Northern Ireland.

The Court Tomb has the longest cairn of a court tomb in Ireland . It is about 2.0 m high, more than 60.0 m long, unusually narrow and tapers sharply towards the end. Antynanum was not listed among chamber tombs in the Irish barrows survey in the 1960s. At the western end of the Cairns is a semi-circular, about 12 m wide courtyard ( English court ), which leads to a loft with two chambers.

The chambers formed by 14 vertical plates contain a lot of Cairn material and the visible orthostats are usually less than 1.0 m high. Near the eastern end of the Cairns lies the remainder of a portal tomb . It is a structure with a well-defined portal and a large capstone.

The entire monument has not been excavated and the cairn may contain other structures as well. A small dish ( English cup ) recalls the Court Tomb of Ballywholan (in County Tyrone ). In front of it are the remains of a small stone mound.

Antynanum is one of over 16,000 Scheduled Historic Monuments in Northern Ireland. About 3.0 km away is the megalithic complex of Ticloy .
