Georg Ludwig von Torney

Georg Ludwig von Torney (born August 22, 1791 in Hedern ; † August 1863 ) was a German administrative officer.

Von Torney came from an aristocratic family in Lower Saxony and was born on Gut Hedern in 1791. From April 10, 1806 to March 25, 1809, he attended the Lüneburg Knight Academy . He then studied law at the Universities of Heidelberg and Göttingen . In 1809 he became a member of the Corpsland Team Guestphalia I in Heidelberg . 1836–1843 he was an official assessor at the Coppenbrügge office and administrator of the Wülfinghausen monastery office .

Georg Ludwig von Torney was Landdrost of the Landdrostei Lüneburg from 1843 until his death in 1863 .
