The Cox Peaks are a series of mountain peaks on a ridge in Antarctica's Ross Dependency . They tower 8 km southeast of Mount Crockett in the eastern part of the Hays Mountains of the Queen Maud Mountains and end at the Scott Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) mapped them using their own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1967 after Allan V. Cox, geologist of the USGS at McMurdo Station from 1965 to 1966.
