Coxi

Coxi ( Chinese  措玉村 , pinyin Cuòyù CUN ) is a Tibetan village, the greater community Rongwo in circles Tongren Autonomous District Huangnan of Tibetans in the Chinese province of Qinghai belongs. It is located about four kilometers south of the center of Rongwo and has about 240 inhabitants (all Tibetans ).

history

The name Coxi is Tibetan and means "four tribes". It is said that during the reign of the Wanli Emperor of the Ming Dynasty (1572-1620) some families from Lhasa in Tibet emigrated and settled here. From this the "four tribes" developed, which gave the place its name.

Others

On the southern edge of the village is a well-known healing spring, the water of which is used to heal chronic stomach and intestinal diseases.
