Craig Dixon
Craig Dixon ( Craig Kline Dixon ; born March 3, 1926 in Los Angeles ) is a retired American hurdler .
In 1948 he won the bronze medal in the 110-meter hurdles at the Olympic Games in London behind his compatriots William Porter and Clyde Scott .
In the following year he was both US champion over 110 m hurdles and 200 m hurdles as well as NCAA champion over 110 m hurdles and 220 yard hurdles.
In 1952 he tried again to qualify for the Olympic Games in Helsinki , but fell in the final of the US eliminations at the eighth hurdle.
After his active career, he worked as an athletics trainer at his alma mater, the University of California, Los Angeles .
