Crank was a Swiss rock band from Zurich .
history
They gave the first concert as a primary school student, followed by appearances on radio and television. With titles like Crank (1989) and Lifedive (1993) the band became known throughout Switzerland and the expectations of the press grew, which they apparently never quite fulfilled.
The band leader and singer was guitarist Adrian Weyermann . The band was active with numerous concerts and reception in the press, mainly in the 1990s. With the album Torture King , the band entered the Swiss album charts for the first time in 1996 (number 48), further album successes were We Hope To Meet You There (1998 at number 35) and Crank (2000 at number 25).
In 2011, after the band split up, the four band members gave another concert, at which the band's breakup was confirmed.
