Crassula tecta is a species of the thick-leaf family(Crassulaceae). The specific epithet tecta comes from Latin , means 'covered' and refers to the leaves covered with papillae.

description

The dwarf-growing and small clump-forming plants stand alone or are only slightly branched. They are 5 × 6 centimeters in size, with the leaves in basal rosettes. They have a fibrous root and form short shoots with a diameter of 5 millimeters. The ovate to ovate-lanceolate leaves are 10 to 25 millimeters long and 3 to 10 millimeters wide. Old leaves are persistent and the leaf blade is rather flat. The gray-green epidermis is covered with short, stiff warts. The surface is flat to close to the base, slightly concave, the underside convex and blunt towards the tip.

The inflorescence consists of elongated and spherical thyrses . The inflorescence stalk is covered with individual papillae and is up to 12 centimeters long. The tubular corolla is up to 5 millimeters long. The oblong, lanceolate, white to cream-colored petals are fused at the base and have an indistinct, dorsal appendage at the tip. The stamens are yellow.
