Mbulelo Botile (* 23 July 1972 in Duncan Village , East London ) is a former South African boxer in the spring and bantamweight .
Career
Botile, who has fought as a professional since 1989, became the South African bantamweight champion in his 12th fight. In his 16th fight he met the Colombian Harold Mestre for the world title of the IBF . He suggested Mestre in the second round hard ko Subsequently defended Botile the title five times in a row before him on July 19, 1997 Tim Austin lost, he o by technical K.. Defeated.
In December Botile boxed against British standard boom Paul Ingle for the IBF Featherweight World Championship and won technical knockout in the 12th round. In his first title defense on April 6 of the following year against southpaw Frankie Toledo , he lost clearly and unanimously on points. Another title fight, this time for the International Boxing Organization title in super featherweight, was lost to Cassius Baloyi in October 2002 . One last fight Botiles took place two and a half years later, when he was defeated by his compatriot Anthony Tshehla in the fight for the Pan-African title of the WBA .
Botile was managed by Khaya Jekwa and trained by Mzi Mnguni .
