history
The bank was founded on April 1, 1960 in Stuttgart by Willy Wall under the name of partial payment credit bank Willy Wall (TKB). In 1977, the bank's founder decided to sell to the US-American Beneficial Corporation (today part of the British HSBC ) and in 1979 it was renamed as a subsidiary in BFK-Kreditbank . In 1987 the takeover and merger with the Münchener Kredit-Bank AG took place under the existing name . The Münchener Kredit-Bank AG had already taken over the Allgemeine Finanzbank AG (founded in 1964 as Pfälzische Kundenkreditbank AG ) in 1983 . In 1992 Pacific-Bank GmbH in Offenbach was taken over and in 1996 BFK-Kreditbank was renamed Beneficial Bank AG . In 1997, the company also started the online lending business. In 1998, the Beneficial Corporation sold its German business to the French banking group CA Consumer Finance based in Paris. The French commercial bank Crédit Agricole (CASA) took over 100% of the CA Consumer Finance Group by 2000, and in Germany the subsidiary was renamed Creditplus Bank AG, which has since been part of the Crédit Agricole Group via CA Consumer Finance (CA CF).

Suzuki Leasing, on the other hand, is not operated by Creditplus Bank.
