The company Cressi-Sub SpA , mostly known only as Cressi , is a manufacturer of diving and swimming equipment.
history
In 1938 Egidio and Nanni Cressi start manufacturing and selling the first diving masks and harpoons. Cressi is considered to be the world's oldest manufacturer of recreational diving equipment. The official founding of the Cressi company did not take place until 1946 in Genoa . All new products have been personally tested by Egidio Cressi.
As a result, the product range is gradually expanded. In 1952, Cressi invented the first mask with a nasal cavity, which enables the diver to equalize pressure. This model became the template for all diving masks commercially available today . In 1988, the world's first Cressi ADV BCD ( Adjustable Divers Vest before). This model was often copied and is now considered the standard for recreational divers.
