Cristian Malán , full name Cristian Esteban Malán Arenas , (born April 4, 1992 in Nueva Helvecia ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.76 meter tall midfielder Malán, partly also spelled Christian Malán, is the brother of the two professional footballers Gonzalo Malán and Mathías Malán . In early 2014, he moved from the first division club Sud América on loan to the Segunda División for Rocha FC . There he completed 13 second division games (no goal). At Apertura 2014 he initially returned to Sud América. However, he left the Montevideans without being used in the Primera División in early September 2014 towards the second division Plaza Colonia . In the 2014/15 season he was there in the second highest Uruguayan league 17 times (two goals) and rose with the club at the end of the season. This was followed by 24 premier league appearances and four goals in the 2015/16 season. At the end of August 2016, he joined the first division promoted Villa Española , for whom he played ten first division matches (no goal) in the 2016 season. After the club's relegation, he moved to the Ecuadorian club Delfín Sporting Club in early January 2017 . So far (as of February 26, 2017) he ran there in two league matches (no goal).
