Cristian Pletea (born May 28, 2000 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian table tennis player .

Career

Pletea played for top star Constanta in his home country . From the 2018/19 season he initially only competed in the Champions League for 1. FC Saarbrücken , as he was still going to school this year and graduated from high school in Romania. In the 2019/20 season he will also start in the Bundesliga for Saarbrücken . In 2020, the Romanian signed a one-year contract with the TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau , where he hopes for more working times.

He achieved his greatest international success to date in 2018 at the age of 17 when he won the silver medal at the U21 European Championship in Minsk. Since 2019 he has been regularly participating in the ITTF World Tour , where his best result to date was the round of 16 at the 2019 Czech Open .
