Cristina Nóbrega

Cristina Nóbrega (* 23. February 1967 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese fado - singer .

Life and education

Nóbrega was born in Lisbon and grew up there. As a teenager, she received artistic training at the dance and music school of the city's National Conservatory. Despite all of his musical ambitions, Nóbrega successfully studied economics at the University of Lisbon . She then worked in Madrid for an international telecommunications company.

Fado singer

Nóbrega remained connected to fado. Even during her studies she sang privately for friends or in fado clubs. On September 14th, 2008 she made her debut in the "White Night" at the invitation of the Círculo de Bellas Artes , Madrid. In the same year she also released her first record "Palavras Do Meu Fado". The lyrics are based on poems by authors such as Homem de Mello, David Mourão-Ferreira , Ary dos Santos and Luís de Camões . Nobrega performs all over the world and sings Fado in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
