Crosshaven ( Irish Bun an Tábhairne ) is a country town in County Cork in the south of the Republic of Ireland . It is located on the Bay of Cork, a spacious natural harbor with a view of Cobh and the Curabinny Forests. The small ferry port Ringaskiddy is nearby .

The population of Crosshaven - Churchbay was determined by the Census 2016 with 2577 people.

The place is known for the Royal Cork Yacht Club , which has been based in Crosshaven since 1966 and is the oldest yacht club in the world (founded in 1720) in the Guinness Book of Records .
