The Cuchilla de Dionisio is a range of hills in Uruguay .
The side line of the Cuchilla Grande is located in the area of the department of Treinta y Tres . The Cuchilla de Dionisio extends north of the departmental capital Treinta y Tres to the north approximately to the border with the neighboring district of Cerro Largo . It consists of sedimentary and volcanic rocks formed and transformed during the Brasiliano orogeny , as well as igneous rocks . The name can be traced back to the Indian Dionisio , who, according to legend, was the first inhabitant of the area of Treinta y Tres , now known as the Paso Real de Olimar .
