The Cuchilla de San Salvador is a range of hills in Uruguay .
The range of hills is in the area of the departments of Soriano and Colonia . The range of hills is also sometimes referred to as Cuchilla Grande Inferior or Cuchilla Meridional. It stretches from the source region of the Río San Salvador to its confluence with the Río Uruguay and provides its water supply through the tributaries on the left side of the river. To the south, a small hill called Cuchilla del Sauce branches off. This forms the border between the two departments mentioned.
