The Río San Salvador is a river in Uruguay .
The tributary of the Río Uruguay rises in the transition from the Cuchilla de San Salvador to the Cuchilla del Bizcocho in the Soriano department northwest of the city of Cardona . On its approx. 100 km long route to its confluence southwest of La Loma in the Río Uruguay, it passes the city of Dolores and is fed by numerous tributaries such as the Arroyo del Corralito , the Arroyo Bizcocho and the Arroyo del Espinillo . The river passes one of the most fertile agricultural regions of Uruguay. The size of its catchment area is 3,000 km².
