geography

Cuchilla del Ombú is located in the area of ​​the Tacuarembó department in its sector 4 near the border with the neighboring Rivera department in a few kilometers east of the departmental capital Tacuarembó . The closest settlement is Ansina in the southeast . The Río Tacuarembó flows a few kilometers to the east . The Cuchilla de la Palma extends in the north , while the area in the south-east is also known as the Cuchilla del Ombú .
