Cuchilla del Ombú is a town in Uruguay .
geography
Cuchilla del Ombú is located in the area of the Tacuarembó department in its sector 4 near the border with the neighboring Rivera department in a few kilometers east of the departmental capital Tacuarembó . The closest settlement is Ansina in the southeast . The Río Tacuarembó flows a few kilometers to the east . The Cuchilla de la Palma extends in the north , while the area in the south-east is also known as the Cuchilla del Ombú .

Residents
At the 2011 Census, the population of Cuchilla del Ombú was 87, of which 44 were men and 43 women. The Instituto Nacional de Estadística de Uruguay did not collect any data for the previous censuses in 1963, 1975, 1985 and 1996 .
