Cugnasco-Gerre

Cugnasco-Gerre is the name of a failed merger project in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. In 2005 the merger of the municipality of Cugnasco with the exclave Gerre di Sotto of the city of Locarno and the exclave Gerra Piano of the municipality of Gerra (Verzasca) did not materialize.

On April 20, 2008, the merger of Cugnasco with Gerra (Verzasca) to form the new municipality of Cugnasco-Gerra was completed, with the Gerre di Sotto no longer being part of the merger project.
