Coordinates: 31 ° 39 ′  S , 117 ° 14 ′  E The Shire of Cunderdin is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 1864 km² and has about 1500 inhabitants (2016).

Cunderdin is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the center of the state about 135 kilometers east of the capital Perth . The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Cunderdin, where about 770 inhabitants live (2016).

The Cunderdin Council has eight members. They are elected by all residents of the Shire. Cunderdin is not divided into districts. The chairman of the council (Shire President) is also recruited from among the councilors.
