The Cunninghame River is an arm of the Fitzroy River in the Kimberley region in the north of the Australian state of Western Australia .

The arm of the river branches off from the main river at the village of Ngurtuwarta , south of Fitzroy Crossing . While the Fitzroy River continues to flow south and splits into further branches that have no names of their own, the Cunninghame River turns its course to the southwest and only meets the main river north of the St. George Ranges .
