Curt Bohnewand
Curt Bohnewand (born August 11, 1888 in Dortmund ; † unknown) was a German merchant and patron.
Life
Bohnewand was the owner of the tobacco wholesale company Emil Michel in Rottach-Egern. With the profits of his companies he supported several institutions of science and art. Among other things, a fund to promote cancer research was set up at the Medical Faculty of the University of Munich .
He also put together an extensive art collection that was auctioned off at Lempertz in Cologne after his death in 1969 .
