Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney

Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney (born about 1960 ) is an American writer .

Life

Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney grew up in Rochester , attended college, and lived and worked for the next 27 years as a freelance copywriter in New York City , where she lived in Barbès . She is married and moved to Los Angeles in 2009 with her husband, who is a headwriter on The Tonight Show , and college-aged children . After the childhood phase in the family, I now completed a degree in creative writing at Bennington College and graduated with an MFA. For her first novel, begun at Bennington, she received a seven-digit dollar advance from HarperCollins . The novel The Nest was published in March 2016 and was No. 3 on the New York Times bestseller list in April . She is writing the script for the filming under the producer and director Jill Soloway .
