Cynthia Dale

Cynthia Dale (born 1961 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian actress in film and television. On stage, Cynthia Dale successfully plays in musicals.

Life

As a child (in 1965), Dale accompanied her sister to audition, was also cast, and has remained loyal to acting ever since.

In 1983 she first appeared at the Stratford Festival, sang in the operettas Der Mikado and The Gondoliers , but was thrown back by an accident (a fall into the orchestra pit). In 1987 she received the Dova Mavor Moore Award for best actress for her appearance in the off-Broadway production of the musical Pal Joey .

As an actress, she achieved television fame through her role as Olivia Novak in the television series The Guns of the Law ( Street Legal ) (1988-1994). For this dramatic series, she was nominated for Best Actress for Gemini Awards in 1992, 1993 and 1995 . In 2019, she was seen again in the role in the sequel Street Legal . Later she tried in various ways to escape this fixed type of role. She also appeared in the series Taking the Falls (1995) or Trudeau (2002). Her work includes more than 30 film and television productions, repeatedly interrupted by breaks of several years.
