The Czesław Kobus Stadium ( Polish Stadium im. Czesława Kobusa ) is a football stadium in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz . It is also known as the Chemika Bydgoszcz Stadium and is the home of the Chemik Bydgoszcz football club . It is named after the first club president, Czesław Kobus. The facility offers seating for a total of 15,000 spectators. The Czesław Kobus Stadium is one of the largest stadiums in the city , alongside the Zdzisław Krzyszkowiak Stadium and the Polonia Bydgoszcz Stadium . The model was the Kazimierz Górski Stadium in Płock .
The sports facility in need of renovation is currently under construction. It is intended as a training facility for the U-21 European Football Championship 2017 .
Sporting events
In 1979, when Chemik Bydgoszcz was promoted to the second Polish league , a friendly match was played against the German club FC Oberrot , which Chemik won 8-0 in front of 10,000 spectators.
