The Dähne Verlag was founded in 1970 by Karl-Heinz and Antonia Dähne in Ettlingen founded. The second generation of the family business has been run by the publisher Marc Dähne since 2000 .

history

In 1970 the founders, as a two-person company, published the Dähne information service for the food / non-food industry , today the diy trade magazine , for the first time . In 1983, the specialist magazine pet Zoo-Report (today: pet specialist magazine ) was taken over, which is now the leading industry magazine for the pet supplies industry.

The publishing house is active in the sectors and specialist areas of hardware stores, gardens, wood, pets as well as aquaristics , terrariums and garden ponds.

The publishing program includes around a dozen specialist and consumer magazines, numerous Internet portals and other publications, including trade and address directories, buying guides, trade statistics and a wide range of books from the areas of aquariums, terrariums and garden ponds.

The publisher is a member of the Association of German Magazine Publishers (VDZ) and its largest regional association, the South German Magazine Publishers Association (SZV) .
