The Díaz Rock (in Chile Islote Díaz Martínez ) is the largest of several cliffs immediately north of the western end of Astrolabe Island in the Bransfield Strait off the north coast of the Trinity Peninsula in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula .
It was named in 1947 by participants in the 2nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947–1948). Namesake is sub-lieutenant Joaquín Díaz Martínez, a participant in this research trip. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated the Chilean designation into English on August 31, 1961.
