Dürüm ( Turkish roll , [ dyˈɾym ]) is a wrap- like roll made from Yufka shop bread with a varied filling. Common fillings are salad, sauce, falafel , Çiğ Köfte and cut meat (beef or mutton , in Germany also turkey). The Dürüm comes from Turkish cuisine . Dürüm also describes a variant of the doner kebab .

origin

The exact origin is unclear. One assumption is that the lavash was borrowed from the Armenian kitchen .

distribution

Dürüm is used to denote a doner kebab variant or for falafel bags in Germany, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland. In most regions of Baden-Württemberg, however, the name Yufka is used for the Dürüm kebab.
