DBZ - Deutsche BauZeitschrift (DBZ) is a trade journal founded in 1953 for architects and planning structural engineers and is editorially oriented towards the tasks and range of activities of everyday architects with a clear practical orientation. Since January 1st, 2009 the DBZ has been an organ of the Federation of German Builders, Architects and Engineers (BDB). The DBZ is published by Bauverlag BV .

Together with the BDB, the DBZ awards the Balthasar Neumann Prize .

The DBZ Deutsche BauZeitschrift appears 11 times a year. Each issue has a title topic. For the title topic, the DBZ editorial team consults an expert, the DBZ magazine partner, who curates the issue. It can be an architect or an engineer.

The DBZ Deutsche BauZeitschrift publishes: Architecture, construction technology and building construction planning products as well as BIM, office management. The target group are therefore architects, planning civil engineers, lighting planners and architecture students.

Current architecture projects are presented and discussed in terms of building typology or material-specific. Architectural intention, urban integration, functionality, structural features, economic efficiency and energetic aspects are worked out and presented with descriptions, detailed drawings and photos.
