DC Comics Presents

DC Comics Presents ... is the title of a comic series that the US publisher DC-Comics published between 1978 and 1986.

The series, which was genre-wise a mixture of science fiction comic and adventure comic, told so-called "team-up stories" in which the character of the superhero Superman as the most famous fictional character owned by DC, as the permanent main character of the Series with other characters owned by the publisher - who changed from issue to issue - was merged in common stories.

Publication dates and content

DC Comics Presents achieved a total of 97 issues and four special issues entitled Annuals in the eight years of its running . In 2004, eight one-shots followed under the title DC Comics Presents on the occasion of the death of Julius Schwartz , who, as editor-in-chief of the Superman department at DC, had been the editorial director of the series for the entire duration of its existence.

In the back of the booklet there were also from time to time shorter stories under the title Whatever Happened to ... and the content of which focused on characters that were forgotten or rarely used and thus tried to attract new attention.
