The DELA life insurance NV is a subsidiary founded in the Netherlands in 1937 DELA Coöperatie UA The insurance products to protect surviving. The core business of the company is the protection and organization of the last phase of life. In the Netherlands and Belgium, DELA claims to have around four million customers, 90 funeral homes and around 2,000 employees.
In Germany, DELA has been represented at the Düsseldorf location since the beginning of 2018, initially with term life insurance. In May 2019, death benefit insurance was also introduced in Germany.
In the legal form of a cooperative (Dutch "Coöperatie"), DELA acts like a cooperative company and is comparable to a German mutual insurance association that is exclusively committed to its customers and members.
Meaning of the name DELA
In Dutch, DELA stands for “Draagt Elkander's loads”, in German: “One carries the other's load”.
Products
For the protection of survivors in the event of death, DELA offers the DELA aktiv life term life insurance as well as the DELA carefree life death benefit insurance. In addition, the DELA first aid program includes initial psychological support and the DELA family protection includes various legally checked prevention documents.
DELA active life risk insurance
The term life insurance is used to cover for their family members, of financing and business partners. DELA carefree life death benefit insurance

The rating agency Assekurata has rated DELA for two years in a row with an “A” for strong creditworthiness and capital strength with a stable outlook.
The independent institute Morgen & Morgen gave the DELA aktiv Leben term life insurance the top rating of "excellent".
Awards
In 2019 DELA Lebensversicherungen won two German Brand Awards in the “Excellent Brands” category and as “Newcomer Brand of the Year”.
Cooperations
The DELA cooperates with the Deutsche Bestattungsfürsorge (DBF). The DBF enables the planning of individual desired burials during your lifetime and their implementation.
