The DEW gasometer was a low-pressure gas container from DEW21 in Dortmund .
The gasometer , which was blown up on October 18, 2015 , was used to store natural gas to supply the Dortmund population. The gas tank not far from Dortmund's Fredenbaumpark had a volume of 150,000 m³ and a diameter of 51.2 meters and a height of 82.9 meters. The manufacturer of the pressure regulating disc of the container is the former Dortmund company Aug. Klönne .
The widely visible lettering advertised the energy supplier DEW21.
At the foot of the old low-pressure gas container, gas is also stored under pressure in a spherical gas container .
