As part of the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award , the team with the most fastest pit stops in a season has been recognized since the 2015 Formula 1 season.

history

Ferrari won the first edition of the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award in 2015 with seven fastest pit stops, followed by Red Bull Racing and Mercedes with four each. Ferrari achieved the fastest pit stops in Malaysia, Spain, Monaco, Japan, Russia and Mexico. The fastest idle time was 2.2 seconds and was set up at the race in Barcelona. The award ceremony took place during the season finale in Abu Dhabi.

2016 sat Williams superior by winning the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award with bullets in 14 of the 21 races of the season. At the European Grand Prix in Baku , the British team set a new world record with a pit stop time of 1.92 seconds. In 2019, Red Bull Racing set the new world record of 1.91 seconds at the British GP.

A new scoring mode was introduced in 2017 . As in the Drivers 'and Constructors' World Championships, points were awarded for the ten fastest pit stops in each race. After 20 races, Mercedes won the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award for the first time with 472 points, followed by Williams with 442 points.
