The DIN standard DIN 105 regulates the name, strength class , bulk density , format and perforation of bricks . The European standard EN 771 is its successor document.

In addition to EN 771, the following standard parts of DIN 105 are currently valid:

  • Part 5 masonry bricks; Slightly elongated brick and light elongated brick panels (Edition 2013-06)
  • Part 6 Bricks - Flat bricks (Edition 2013-06)
  • Part 100 masonry bricks with special properties (edition 2012-01)

The EN 771 is divided into the following parts:

  • Part 1: Bricks, Edition 2011-07
  • Part 2: Sand-lime bricks, edition 2011-07
  • Part 3: Bricks made of concrete (with dense and porous aggregates), edition 2011-07
  • Part 4: Aerated concrete blocks, edition 2011-07
  • Part 5: Concrete blocks, edition 2011-07
  • Part 6: Natural stones, edition 2011-07
