The DIN standard DIN 6771 of the German Institute for Standardization e. V. regulated the format of drawing sheets and their labeling in the title block for technical drawings . It also contained forms for parts lists and for circuit diagrams in technical documents.

Part 1: title block

The international standard EN ISO 7200 , which replaces DIN 6771-1, has been in force since May 2004 . All technical drawings have a title block. It was arranged at a distance of 7.12 mm from the sheet edges so that after folding, which is regulated in DIN 824 , it was recognizable on the A4 format in the reading direction. The writing field according to DIN 6771-1 had a width of 182.88 mm and a height of 54.99 mm.

A sample of the outdated writing field according to DIN 6771-1: 1970-12 shows the following picture:

Part 2: BOMs

The parts list summarizes all components , components, groups and devices that are necessary for the entire element and that are shown on the drawing. DIN 6771-2 was withdrawn in October 2007 without replacement because there was no longer any need for the form.
