The DIS AG is a public company based in Dusseldorf . Since June 19, 2008, the Swiss Adecco Group has been the sole shareholder of DIS AG through a so-called squeeze-out . The DIS AG group also includes: the Badenoch & Clark brand, DIS Consulting GmbH (100%), DIS Interim Management GmbH (100%) and Lee Hecht Harrison GmbH (100%).

Through the segments Finance (financial services), Industry, Office & Management (office services) and Outsourcing & Consulting and the Badenoch & Clark brand, the company provides services for third-party customers in the field of temporary employment and the placement of specialists and executives.

As of December 31, 2015, DIS AG employed around 8,500 people. At that time the company had 138 branches throughout Germany. In terms of sales, the industrial sector is the company's largest segment.

On July 1, 2014, the company name was officially changed from DIS Deutscher Industrie Service AG to DIS AG.

On June 1, 2018, the IT (information technology) and life sciences divisions of DIS AG were transferred to the newly founded Modis .
