The DJK Teutonia Waltrop was a football club from Waltrop in the Recklinghausen district . The first team took part in the DFB Cup once.

history

The association was founded in 1920. The club's greatest success was reaching the finals of the DFB Cup in the 1990/91 season . In the first main round, the club Eintracht Braunschweig lost 0: 1. From 1984 to 1998 the DJK Teutonia played in the Landesliga Westfalen . In 1998 he was promoted to the Association League Westphalia , where however, the direct relegation followed.

Successor association Teutonia SuS Waltrop

In 1999 the DJK Teutonia merged with SuS Waltrop, founded in 1958, to form Teutonia SuS Waltrop . This started in the regional league and made it to the Westphalia league in 2009 . This was followed by direct relegation, which was followed in 2012 by going to the district league. Six years later, the Waltropians were relegated to the district league A. In 2019 the direct rise was achieved.
