DJ Pierre (USA)
DJ Pierre (actually Nathaniel Pierre Jones * 12 July 1965 in Chicago ) is an American House - DJ . He was a founding member of the Phuture group , which was instrumental in creating Acid House .
Life
Together with his friend "Spanky" (Earl Smith Jr.), Pierre recorded the song Acid Trax (originally: In Your Mind ) in 1985 . With the novel sound that Pierre and Spanky had created on a Roland TB-303 , the song hit Chicago immediately (quote from DJ Pierre's official website: "That night Ron was playing acid tracks. We (Phuture) realized that we had created something that touched people. " ) In 1986 the song came out as 12", Herb J (Herbert R. Jackson Jr.) was now part of the band.
In 1990 he moved from Chicago to better market his music.
Most recently, he appeared for a large audience with an Essential Mix for the BBC . DJ Pierre performs worldwide as a DJ. He recorded other tracks under various pseudonyms, including Pierre's Pfantasy Club and Aly Us and Photon Inc.
