DYNAS

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

DYNAS is a system developed by Telefunken for the reception of FM-modulated transmitters in the early 1990s . Compared to classic receivers , it has a higher selectivity and sensitivity . This is achieved through the adaptive bandwidth of the IF filter and dynamic tracking of the center frequency of the IF filter. The principle has been adopted in some high-quality FM tuners ( Onkyo T-4970) as well as in car radios (which are affected by difficult and rapidly changing reception conditions).

With a transmitter distance of 200 kHz, an undisturbed reception in stereo is possible, with 100 kHz a largely undisturbed mono reception is still possible. Sharx is a similar technology , but it is implemented digitally as software.
