Da'el ( Arabic داعل, DMG Dāʿil ) is a city in southern Syria , located on the ancient road that leads from the north to Damascus .
It is located around 14 km from Darʿā (درعا), has a population of 25,000–35,000. The main livelihood of the population is agriculture, wheat, beans, olives and wine are grown. Skilled workers work as guest workers in countries on the Persian Gulf, the United Arab Emirates , Saudi Arabia , Kuwait and Qatar .
