Diakonie umbrella foundation
The Diakonie umbrella foundation is a holding company that includes various Diakonie institutions in Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt , these are the Stephansstift , the Kästorf Diakonische Heime , the Cornelius Werk, the Wohnen und Beraten Foundation, the Diakonische Altenhilfe Mittelweser and the Evangelical Foundation Clus. It has 120 employees.
history
The Diakonie umbrella foundation was founded through the collaboration of the Diakonische Werke Kästorf eV and the Stephansstift Hannover and started its work on January 1st, 2011. To this end, the Stephansstift and Diakonische Heime Kästorf companies were converted into support foundations and their fields of work were outsourced to operating companies. In the course of time, other facilities were added. Today (2017), in addition to the Stephansstift and the Diakonische Werken Kästorf, the umbrella foundation also includes the Corneliuswerk Burg, the Stiftung Wohnen und Beraten, as well as the Diakonische Altenhilfe Mittelweser. Around 3,000 people work in the group's non-profit companies. The Diakonie umbrella foundation has around 120 employees in the areas of ( theological ) corporate development , human resources , real estate management , insurance , business administration , fundraising and public relations as a service provider for the companies.
Companies and societies
The support foundations Stephansstift ev, the Diakonische Heime Kästorf eV, the Stiftung Wohnen und Beraten and the Evangelische Stiftung Clus form the Diakonie umbrella foundation, which in turn controls the individual companies. The companies are managed by managing directors who are employed by the Diakonie umbrella foundation.

management
The umbrella foundation is managed by the board of directors and a board of trustees. The board members are Hans-Peter Daub as theological director and Jens Rannenberg as the commercial director. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees is Arend de Vries . The executive boards of the umbrella foundation form the executive boards of the individual development companies and are members of the management or sole managing directors of some companies of the umbrella foundation and have power of attorney. The chairman of the board of trustees is the chairman of the supervisory bodies of the funding companies.
