The Daewoo K3 was the third firearm after the Daewoo K1 and the Daewoo K2 that was developed in South Korea . The K3 was inspired by the FN Minimi and the American M249 .

technology

The K3 machine gun is light compared to other machine guns at 6.85 kg. The weapon uses either an ammunition belt or a 30-round STANAG magazine like the K1 and K2. The weapon can be used with a bipod as a Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) or with a tripod on a mount.

The barrel of the gun is interchangeable.

The K3 is also the standard armament of the Samsung SGR-A1 combat robot .
