Dagmar (born October 3, 1962 in Rüsselsheim ; bourgeois Dagmar Tietz . She bears the stage name "DAGMAR LAY D".) Is a German pop and country singer . She is also called The Lady of Country .

Life

She lives in Kelsterbach am Main , where she worked as a bank clerk before she made music her job. In 2006 it celebrated its 20th anniversary at the largest festival in Europe, the Nürburgring . She is committed as an ambassador for the Christoffel Mission for the Blind .

After years of hobby and part-time musical activity, Dagmar made his breakthrough in the national German-speaking country scene in 1986. She has had a record deal since 1990, initially with Koch International , but in 2007 she moved to Artists & Acts Munich. 1997–1998 she presented the TV show Country-Pur on Super RTL . With 17 albums and CD editions so far, the title Jolene (a cover version of Dolly Parton 's hit of the same name) can be considered the greatest success. It was single of the year in 2003 . Dagmar has been awarded the Golden Truck of the German Country Scene several times . A best of album was released in 2006 on the occasion of their stage anniversary.
