Dahlia's Tear is the Swedish music project by Anil Emre "Anile.D" Dedeoğlu. The music belongs to the dark ambient genre.

history

Dahlia's Tear was founded in Stockholm in 2005 by the Swede with Greek ancestors Anil Emre Dedeoğlu . Previously, he was already active in the Turkish doom metal band Dimness Through Infinity , among others . Contrary to what many websites claim, Dedeoğlu says he never played in the black metal band Moribund Oblivion .

Dedeoğlu released the debut album Harmonious Euphonies Supernatural Traumas Mesmerizing Our Existences in Radient Corpuscle Galaxies through the Czech label Ravenheart Productions in November 2005, the year Dahlia's Tear was founded. The aim was to create more introspective and individual music with the album and the project than with Dimness Through Infinity, for which he was also the main composer.

My Rotten Spirit of Black was released as a second studio album in 2007 through Alcor Productions. It mainly deals with the subject of death . After the release, Dedeoğlu separated from Alcor Productions and moved to the Augsburg label Thonar Records .

The third studio album, Under Seven Skies , was released a good six months after My Rotten Spirit of Black , on December 10, 2007, through Thonar Records . It was very well received by the trade press and received consistently good reviews.

The album Dreamsphere should be released on March 10, 2010 via Cold Meat Industry . After the publication date had been postponed several times (including April 16, 2010), it was suspended for an indefinite period. The album was finally released in spring 2012.

style

Dahlia's Tear plays typical dark ambient , the main instruments are therefore violins and synthesizers in addition to the guitar . Nevertheless, slight differences can be seen from album to album with regard to the influences of other genres, so that the music of Dahlia's Tear is partly reminiscent of experimental music , industrial and ethereal .

In his review of Under Seven Skies , the author [imBlutfeuer] commented on the music as follows: “Dark ambient, but quite different and unique. Everything is so harmoniously and variedly caressed with dark, slow surfaces that the music gets a depth that is seldom achieved in this genre. "
