Dai-Nippon Insatsu KK ( Japanese 大 日本 印刷 株式会社 , Dai-Nippon Insatsu Kabushiki kaisha , German "Groß-Japan-Druck", English Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. , short: DNP ) is a Japanese company based in Shinjuku , Tokyo .

DNP is a manufacturer of products in the printing industry (newspapers, magazines, books, packaging, foils, SIM and chip cards). DNP provides u. a. but also shadow masks and photo masks for the electronics industry. The range is rounded off by surface materials for indoor and outdoor use, which are used in particular in the construction and furnishing trade as well as the automotive industry.

The company was founded on October 9, 1876 under the name Shueisha. The company's president is Yoshitoshi Kitajima. Around 39,200 people are employed in the company. In 1970 a company location was opened in Düsseldorf .

criticism

In 2011, the Japanese online magazine “myNewsJapan.com” published a list of Japanese companies whose employees work an unusually high amount of overtime. Dai-Nippon Insatsu took 1st place with an average of 1920 overtime per year.
