Daigoro Timoncini

Daigoro Timoncini (* 13. December 1985 in Faenza ) is an Italian wrestler. He is a four-time Italian heavyweight champion in the Greco-Roman style.

Timoncini matured into a competitive athlete in the renowned Club Atletico CISA. In 2004 he won his first national championship title in the weight class up to 96 kilograms. Further titles followed in 2005, 2006 and 2008. Internationally, after failing to qualify for the 2004 Olympic Games, he was ranked 7th for the first time at the 2005 European Championships in Varna . In September 2007 he finished fifth at the World Championships in Baku , qualifying for the 2008 Summer Olympics . In preparation for this, the trained police officer was released from duty for one year.

From 2004 to 2008 Timoncini belonged to the squad of the wrestling club KSV Ketsch . In spring 2008 he moved to ASV Mainz 88 .
